Six habits we talk about

A starting point. Your stylist adjusts it for your hair, your shape and your week.

  • At night

A satin bonnet, scarf or pillowcase cuts down on friction while you sleep.

  • On wash day

Wash when your scalp and style need it, not by the calendar. Condition first, then detangle in sections while the hair is wet.

  • Keeping a cut sharp

A shape holds its outline for a few weeks. Your stylist tells you the rhythm for yours, and a shape check takes 20 minutes.

  • Detangling

Start at the ends with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers and work up. Re-wet a section before you force a knot.

  • After a twist-out

Let twists dry all the way through before you take them down. Separate with a little oil on your fingers, then leave it alone.

  • When to call

If your outline is growing out in a way you don't like, call us. We would rather see you for a quick look than have you wait.
